just back frm vienna yesterday... it feels ten times hotter here now.. it was snowing there for a few days.. was very nice! bought chocs back for u all.. there's nothing else to buy except chocs.. itz either Swarovski crystals or chocs so yea... enjoy ur hols! ;)

oh yea.. freckles r caused by e uneven distribution of the melanin pigment in the skin.. a freckle is an unusually heavy deposit of melanin at one spot in the skin.. but i think the bigger probs is the 3 types of skin cancer: basal cell cancer, squamous cell cancer and malignant melanoma...
oh n of course e oh-so-painful burn!! Sun rays penetrate e skin n stimulate cells containing melanin. Melanin protects e skin by absorbing n scattering UV rays... pple w dark skins haf high amts of melanin, haf greater natural protection frm UV rays n tan more easily. Blondes, redheads, n pple w fair skins haf less melanin so burn more quickly hehehe... As melanin is stimulated by UV rays, it rises to skin's surface as a tan and provides protection against future sun exposure...
But den ar, pple w dark skins like olive, brown, or black r not immune to burning and skin damage...
oh sorry v bored now so just blabbing away.. hahaha..

oh yah and sth i learnt frm my job shadowing at national skin centre:

too much exposure to the sun will cause white/black spots/freckles/ageing spots to appear on ur skin when u r old which is super ugly! (ive seen it real there) and removal is by electrocautry(spelling?) which is a very painful surgery involving passing an electric current thru ur skin to burn the ageing spots/black spots/wadeva away and not to mention expensive.

so juz a tip: put on sun block.

and this is coming frm a person who just sunburnt her skin. lol.

hello please come for band aid! its a concert for our band cip thing. tickets are at 5 bucks only! its on 26 august, friday, at 7.30 pm. at lt2. dawn, siming and i are playing. its an ensemble concert. there're going be ensembles like erm flute trios and percussion ensemble and uh sax ensemble and woodwind quintets and brass quintets and some jazz thing and others. so please come! you can get tickets from dawn or me=)

Hi, i had the same problem too. Fortunately, thanks to LiangQi, figured out how to change the chinese.. Just look under Tools, Internet Options, Languages.... that should solve the problem...
